Billing FAQ

Billing FAQ

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan comes with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. You pick your plan when you sign up, and your instance runs with that plan's full event quota and resource limits for the whole trial.

What plans are available?

Plan Monthly Yearly Events/mo Retention Projects Users
Hobby $9 $8/mo 50,000 30 days 1 3
Indie $39 $35/mo 500,000 60 days Unlimited Unlimited
Studio $199 $179/mo 5,000,000 90 days Unlimited Unlimited
Scale $549 $494/mo 50,000,000 90 days Unlimited Unlimited

Yearly billing is charged as a single annual payment.

What counts as an event?

Errors and transactions (traced HTTP requests or background jobs). Log entries and cron check-ins do not count toward your monthly quota.

What happens when I hit my event limit?

Tindra stops accepting new events until your next billing period. That's it. No overages, no automatic charges, no surprises. You get an email at 80% and another when you hit 100%.

To restore ingestion right away, upgrade to a higher plan from the dashboard.

When does my event count reset?

On the 1st of each calendar month. Billing is anchored to the 1st, so your quota and your billing cycle always line up.

Can I change plans?

Yes, any time. Changes take effect immediately. Paddle prorates the difference for the remainder of the current billing period, so you're only charged for what you use.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, then the instance is suspended. You have 7 days to resubscribe before your instance and data are permanently deleted.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. You can request a full refund within 30 days of any purchase. Email hi@tindra.sh and we'll sort it out.

How is payment handled?

Payments are processed by Paddle. You can update your payment method from the dashboard at any time. Paddle collects and remits VAT where applicable, so the price you see is all-inclusive.

Where is my data stored?

In the EU, always. Each managed customer gets a dedicated container and Postgres instance. Your data is never on shared infrastructure and never leaves the EU.

Is self-hosting free?

Yes. Tindra is free to self-host under the Elastic License v3. No event limits, no retention caps. You manage your own infrastructure and set RETENTION_DAYS to whatever suits your disk budget.
